| This is the first
serious image with the TEC140 and ST2000XM. I am quite pleased with this
shot. Several things came together to give a good result. The seeing was
very good for the UK. The self guiding on the ST2000XM controls my G11 very
well, the best setup so far (even without the good seeing), and the Hutech
LPR filter is a really good piece of kit, probably rates as one of my best
buys to date. The contrast was very good on the raw images and I cannot
see any gradients. That is not to say there aren't any but I am not very
good at seeing them. If you spot them let me know please. The image has
been cropped from the full size field of 41 x 31 arc minutes, to decrease
file size and because of un-aligned areas between the individual images.
Processing was carried out with MaximDL, Astroart and Photoshop. Images
acquired using Maxim CCD, very good to use. Two other galaxies are also
just visible. IC 4278 and IC 4277 |
