This was my first eclipse and left feeling very impressed with the sight of the colours in the cloud and the event itself. I was rather pleased with these shots as they set the scene very well. The eclipse started in cloud but just at the last seconds of annularity the ring peeked through the clouds. These are just a few of the pictures I took and show the progress of the eclipse partial phases reasonably well.
Some interesting reflections in the lens show the eclipse reversed, and quite clearly, in the later shots. Follow these links to see the other scenes from Durness.
